| To describe and quantify HRCT features of interstitial lung disease in TM patients; to determine incidence of lung dysfunction in a cohort of TM patients; to determine the incidence of interstitial lung changes using HRCT in TM patients with abnormal lung function; to correlate extent of disease on HRCT with iron overload (defined as lifetime transfusional iron burden or MRI studies of the liver T2-relaxation time as an index of total body iron); to correlate pulmonary function test with iron overload. |
