HKU Research Mixer: Application Guidance and Sharing Session on the RGC Research Fellow Scheme and Senior Research Fellow Scheme
Research Services successfully hosted the inaugural Research Mixer: Application Guidance and Sharing Session on the RGC Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) and Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) on September 21, 2026. The event attracted 38 researchers from across disciplines to exchange insights and experiences. Featuring an overview of the schemes by Professor Alice Wong, Associate Vice-President (Research), alongside experience sharing by RFS/SRFS awardees Professor Nicholas Fang, Professor Hongzhe Sun, Professor Lixin Dai and Professor Xiuli Tong, the session provided practical guidance and first-hand perspectives on preparing competitive proposals. The speakers shared insights on developing ambitious research visions, demonstrating academic leadership, nurturing future research talent, and advancing interdisciplinary collaboration. Through interactive discussions and networking opportunities, participants exchanged ideas and strengthened connections within HKU's vibrant research community.
